Get ready to reconnect with your creativity!

Filmmaker & Social Entpreprenur

Yoga Instructor & Artist

The La Capella retreat is designed to help you reconnect to your creativity. After the past two years we all have a different view of the world and for so many of us that view is of a more creative life. But finding the time and the stillness to allow that creativity to grow can be difficult, so this week is dedicated to finding stillness and working together as a community to help each other find their spark.

We encourage you to come to the retreat with an idea or project in mind. It can be the earliest seed of an idea you have done nothing about or it could be a full manuscript you need to take a second pass on.

All levels and places in life are welcome.

Each morning Isabelle will lead us through a morning meditation, followed by a community session where we get to hear about each others' projects and goals. These sessions are for talking out ideas, asking for guidance and for accountability. We ask that you set an intention for each day - anything from I want to finish editing 50 photos today to I want to focus on moving my body today.

Days are spent at your own design - you can choose to work on your project or explore Tuscany. We will have a private driver each day with planned excursions you can participate in - exploring small villages, wine tasting, a day trip to Siena, and more. Or you can choose to stay at the villa and work on your project or wander through the vineyards or read by the pool.

Each evening we will come together again and check in either through a group session or yoga - or maybe both! Dinner reservations will be made for the group in  neighboring towns, you can choose to eat with the group or set out on your own - dinners are at your discretion and not covered by the cost of the retreat allowing you flexibility.

Isabelle is an artist at heart with an enormous appreciation for holistic practices. She believes spiritual well-being is the fundamental foundation to success in life that many of us so often forget to lay the bricks for. With simple, yet powerful daily practices we work together to find stillness within ourselves, alignment with our truth, and a gratitude for all that we are. As a certified yoga instructor, Isabelle believes that with the foundation of a strong daily practice, anyone can succeed in what they feel called to do- with excitement and a fundamental trust in themselves.

Isabelle studied in-depth yogic practices and principles in Bali and Israel. She views herself as an eternal student excited to share her findings with others who they may help. From dealing with anxiety, to confidence in a creative career, Isabelle has worked one-on-one and in small groups to quiet the worry mind and rediscover the excitement-- which requires coming back to again and again!

A quote by Howard Thurman that she feels strongly about is;

“Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive and go do it.

Because what the world needs are more people who come alive.”

She feels incredibly grateful, after two years of little travel, to spend time sharing ideas and adventures with other courageous creatives in the magic of a Tuscany Summer.

Ashley Bearden is a filmmaker, activist and social entrepreneur based in New York City. Originally from Arkansas, she grew up inspired by her mother’s childhood spent abroad as the daughter of an Air Force pilot. She always knew she was meant to see the world too. After a short stint on Capitol Hill post college she landed in New York working on film and television sets for projects as varied as Lost in Translation, The Sopranos and Reading Rainbow. For the past 10 years she has focused on documentary film work and has had the opportunity to travel the world as a documentary filmmaker through her production company Do Good Films

Ashley has found that seeing the humanity of people and places through the lens of a camera gives you a relentlessly truthful perspective on injustices around the world. These perspectives led her to activism along the way. In 2020 she founded The Activist Collab - a virtual community of young changemakers supporting each other around the world.

From road trips in Spain working with Anthony Bourdain, to filming female empowerment programs in South Africa, to covering social justice protests in Los Angeles, she has followed her heart and taken her career along with it.

Ashley’s love for travel, her unique way of seeing the world as a filmmaker, and her passion for social justice led her to create Travel Parallel - a community for those who love to travel and want to follow that love towards careers and lives where they truly feel alive.

Developed around a 13th century church on the property, this villa has been beautifully restored into a six-bedroom, six-bathroom getaway.

The property boasts several common spaces, both inside and out. Each apartment is accessible from the garden and contains two bedrooms and two bathrooms, separate living areas, and a small kitchen. All rooms are air-conditioned.

The house features a professional kitchen where a local chef will prepare a welcome dinner. For those interested, cooking classes can be arranged throughout the week, and a group-prepared farewell dinner will cap off the last night.

Endlessly picturesque, spend an afternoon by the swimming pool with a good book and a glass of rose, or explore the nearby walking paths in the surrounding vineyards and gardens.
